SHOP THE LOOK

The athletic dress shirt is polyester. It’s actually not as bad as I thought it would be based on my other purchases of other style polyester dress shirts from TA… it’s a thicker fabric and has more structure than the others I’ve bought here. So not unhappy. That said, a polyester shirt is not a $95 shirt in my view. $35 is more like it. The prices don’t align with the quality of the material.

I love the bamboo dress shirts and short sleeve shirts. The material holds vibrant color and looks fresh and unwrinkled wash after wash. Great shirts and generally great design. Supply issues are a pain… they never stock enough of these, and have frequent inventory management issues that are really mind-blowing. I got the blue short sleeve because their support staff and their AI chat said the bamboo shirts were being discontinued. Turns out not to be true, but it’s good to get one this size (L) after my cut. The XXL I was wearing is a bit big on me right now. My one complaint about the short sleeve version is that the sleeves are too long and way too big circumference. They seem bigger around than the long sleeve versions of most other TA styles. Way bigger than the t-shirt armholes as well. I have to pay to get them tailored.

Fitted or Compression Fit

The look and quality is everything Tailored Athletic advertised. However, I strongly recommend sizing up and even so the shirt's are boarder line a compression vs a fitted shirt. Hence, if you have even small "love handles" it will be unflatteringly noticeable.
